KAUFHAUS MIT HERZ stands for social and ecological commitment: sustainable – valuable – conscious.

It makes an important contribution to the conservation of resources and the environment by returning well-preserved goods to the cycle of goods. The varied and ever-changing range of goods is made up exclusively of donations from the population, which makes it possible to offer favourable prices to a wide range of people:

One aspect of our commitment is also the work opportunities at KAUFHAUS mit Herz. We offer people a meaningful and value-adding activity, a place where they can gain new work experience, develop new life perspectives and experience social integration. The combination of on-the-job training and qualification improves integration and placement prospects.

KAUFHAUS MIT HERZ is run by the AWO Kreisverband Fulda together with the Diakonisches Werk as a non-profit project. Of course, the sales contribute to the financing, but a large part of the funds to cover the diverse costs such as rent, heating, staff are raised jointly by the associations. You too can contribute to the success of the project:

Would you like to donate used furniture and household goods?
Please register your offers of used furniture and household appliances by telephone. You can support our work by sending us photos of your furniture donations in advance at: . Small items can be handed in at any time. After an initial on-site inspection, the staff of the Donation Acceptance Department will decide whether we can accept the goods. All donated items are carefully inspected, checked and, if necessary, repaired and refurbished.

You will find us at Aschenberg in Einhardstraße 56 (basement of the Civic Centre). Discover the special atmosphere of our second-hand department stores’!
Our opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Closed on Saturdays.

CHANGED OPENING HOURS BECAUSE OF THE CORONA CRISIS: Monday to Friday from 14:00 – 18:00 hrs.

In the period from 08.08.2022 to 19.08.2022 inclusive, the department stores’ with heart will be closed.

Sufficient parking spaces are available. A delivery service is also available by arrangement.
